Excitement builds for this weekend's Green Fayre in Congleton town centre
Congleton Town Council and Congleton Partnership are gearing up for what promises to be the most spectacular Green Fayre yet, taking place on Saturday 28 September.
Running from 10am until 4pm, this vibrant and educational day will take over Congleton Town Centre, offering something for everyone.
The closed High Street will be transformed into a bustling hub of sustainable living, with over 30 eco-friendly stalls, hands-on activities, and lots of family fun.
Don't miss out on performances from the lively 'Bumble Bees' sharing biodiversity messages at 11.30am, 12.30pm, and 2pm.
Kids can also get creative with eco-friendly face painting, while visitors can explore the electric cars display.
Congleton Local Policing Unit, will be offering free bike marking, available from 10am to 1pm, and the popular Makers Market will be in full swing in the pedestrian area.
Congleton Town Mayor, Cllr Kay Wesley, told Nub News "The Green Fayre is always a highlight on the calendar, but this year's event promises to be bigger and better than ever.
"With so much to see and do, it's an exciting opportunity for everyone to get involved, learn something new, and have fun.
"I encourage everyone to come along and be part of this fantastic day. It is a great way to support our community and embrace sustainable living. Don't miss it."
Inside the Town Hall, attendees can visit the bumper Congleton Repair Café to get broken items fixed by volunteers or refresh their reading lists at the book swap.
One of the event's key attractions is The Big Clothes Movement. For just £2, visitors can fill a bag with pre-loved clothes, promoting sustainable fashion and reducing waste.
Be sure to check out the Congleton Museum stall and their fascinating 'Disappearing Nature' project, exploring how local plant life has evolved due to climate change.
