Emergency services called as crash sends fuel spilling out across road

A road has been shut by police following a crash.
Emergency services have been called out to Congleton after a crash on Cross Lane.
It is understood a lorry collided with a barrier, sending fuel spilling out across the road.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted at 12.36pm on Friday, April 25, with one fire engine from the Macclesfield station sent to the scene.
A CFRS spokesperson said: "Firefighters attended a road traffic collision involving a lorry which had collided with a barrier.
"Police were in attendance and closed the road in both directions.
"Firefighters used absorbent environment mats to soak up fuel spilt from the vehicle.
"The incident was handed over to police."
A Cheshire Police spokesperson added: "At 12.40pm today (April 25) police were called to a one-vehicle collision involving a HGV in Cross Lane Congleton at its junction with Park Lane.
"The vehicle collided with a bollard and fuel had leaked onto the road.
"Council Highways are dealing with the clean-up."
