A drunk adult has had his driving powers revoked, for trying to drive their daughter around Congleton this Bank Holiday Weekend.

At midnight on Monday Morning, a black SUV driver of an unknown gender tried to steer around our town after too many, with their child in tow.

Cheshire Police said this in a statement: "S/Insp Hibbert has stopped a car in Congleton town centre."

"Driver under the Drink Drive limit, but already Disqualified from driving, with no licence or insurance. Seven year old girl in the back of the car."

No arrests have been made. The girl is believed to be physically unharmed.

Congleton: Violence and sexual offences beats out drink driving as the most reported crime in our area.

There were 37 violence and sex crimes in Congleton West, and 25 in Congleton East for July 2021.
