Congleton councillor Rob Moreton has started a singing competition on social media to entertain the town whilst under lockdown.

Rob Moreton's Community-Lockdown Karaoke kicked off on Facebook group Congleton News and Views on Saturday night at eight o'clock.

Due to the positive response, the karaoke will be a permanent fixture on Saturday nights for the foreseeable future while the lockdown is in place.

Mr Moreton, who is also a Cheshire East councillor, believes that people sharing their singing can help them overcome the pitfalls of isolation and show a community that they are not alone.
