Work on Congleton's new drive-through Costa is gathering pace.

Cheshire East Council approved plans in August 2021 for the Costa to be built in place of Congleton's tip on land off Barn Road near to Tesco as we revealed here .

Workmen are busy working on the project which is set to include a coffee shop, car parking, access and landscaping.

The drive-through includes off-road parking and will also have a new access off a private road section of Barn Road.

There will be a new pedestrian access provided into the site from the existing shared footway/cycleway on Barn Road.

This access will be segregated from the main vehicle access and was considered "sufficient" to serve the site.
