Residents have the opportunity to showcase their skills and win an Easter egg in the town's very own Congleton's Got Talent.

Shaun Radcliffe and the Congleton Food Hub have had 15 Easter Eggs donated to them and have offered to use them as prizes in the competition after liaising with Deborah Jupp, administrator for Facebook group Congleton Chats Back.

There will be five categories, and the top three videos in each section with the most likes on Congleton Chats Back will be the winners.

Videos must be posted in the right category or they will be deleted.

Category 1 is children aged up to 11, category 2 is children aged 11-18, category 3 adult males, category 4 adult females and category 5 is families (group/including pets).

Mrs Jupp told Nub News that she felt the competition would be a great way to keep everyone's spirits up and paid tribute to Congleton's community spirit during the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking on behalf of the administrators for Congleton Chats Back, Mrs Jupp said: "We would like to thank everyone for the role they're playing. Every time I've put out a plea in the group, straight away there have been responses.

"Whether its been toiletries for the NHS staff, sanitizer for the carers, and wash bags for the nursing staff. Everyone has been fantastic, and even in private messages, that haven't been posted in the group.

"The group does do such a lot of good work."

The competition will end at 9pm on Monday (6th April), and the winners will be announced as soon as the results are finalised.

Mr Radcliffe will be delivering the prizes on Thursday to the lucky winners.

Stay safe everyone and enjoy your weekend, which I'm sure will be spent practising your acts.
