The new defibrillator recently installed outside Congleton Library was removed over the weekend.

Congleton Town Council have asked for the life saving piece device to be returned to the Congleton Information Centre inside the town hall.

Alternatively, whoever currently has the defibrillator can contact the town council on 01260 270350 to arrange collection.

A Congleton Town Council spokesperson said: "We sincerely hope the life saving device was used for a positive case.

"In the unfortunate event of it being required again in an emergency, the device needs to be serviced before it can be replaced in the box."

Update - The defibrillator has been located
