Congleton Town Council are appealing to the community to not park in spaces reserved for residents receiving their Covid-19 vaccination today.

Vaccinations started at the Town Hall this morning (8 January) at 9am.

The town council has arranged with Cheshire East Council to 'reserve' the free on-road parking bays opposite the Town Hall for people coming to the hall for their injections, meaning they can park as close as possible.

Burns Garage on Canal Street has also kindly offered parking on their forecourt for people being vaccinated.

A Congleton Town Council spokesperson said: "There are signs up, but we are relying on your co-operation. Please leave these spaces for those who may be less mobile than you and have an appointment to get vaccinated."
