Congleton's 'The Green Tree House' social supermarket has returned this New Year, and is opening today, Friday 5 January 2024.

Congleton social supermarket is a non-profit organisation run by Congleton volunteers and is open to all local residents.

The store offers a wide variety of goods at discounted rices, supporting those struggling with the cost of living crisis.

The shop originally launched in Biddulph, and opened in Congleton in 2021 when organiser realised that many users were travelling from Congleton to use the service.

The shop opens on Wednesday and Friday from 10am until 3pm.

The team shared on social media that they are back today, having opened for the first time on Wednesday following the festive break:
