She found fame during the pandemic, and was educated in Congleton.

Local politics champion Jackie Weaver will be on our screens tonight.

The household name from that infamous Handforth Paris Council meeting is starring in a new TV series alongside Tony Blair, David Cameron, Alastair Campbell and Baroness Vaasi.

The Channel 4 show is called called Make Me Prime Minister and kicks-off at 9:15pm tonight, after The Great British Bake Off.

You can watch a trailer at the top of this article.

The show has been called a cross between The Apprentice and Big Brother.

Jackie went to what used to be the Grammar School for Girls in Congleton, which is now a housing estate opposite the Unicorn pub on the road to Holmes Chapel.
