Congleton puppy seeks fur-ever home after ruff start to life
A puppy currently living in temporary accommodation in Congleton, is seeking a fur-ever home.
With a face like butter would not melt, Piglet is a female crossbreed dog, that just came up for adoption.
Just in her tenth week of life, the dog is currently being fostered in Congleton after a ruff start to life.
She came into RSPCA Macclesfield, South East Cheshire and Buxton's care at just eight weeks of age.
The dog, who shares a name with the Winnie the Pooh character of the same name, has an eye condition.
Here is what the charity had to say about Piglet.
"Piglet is an adorable little feisty girl," said the RSPCA.
"Please don't let her unusual look sway you from wanting her; she unfortunately has cherry eye.
"The vets advise she's too young to have it operated on but come five or six months old she can go under anaesthetic.
"We will cover the cost of this along with neutering at the same time which is mandatory.
"Piglet has come into our care with Bear. A call was made to the RSPCA over concerns for their welfare.
"The owner signed them both over. They have been wormed, flead, started vaccinations and microchipped.
"She needs a home where someone is home most of the time. We highly recommend puppy socialising training classes. She can be carried around outside to start socialising now… but not put on the ground till she's had her second vaccination.
"She can be rehomed with confident cats and other animals.
"Although some dogs may find her lively playful nature too overbearing."
