Following the recent theft of farm machinery in the Congleton area, Cheshire Police's Rural Crime Team has been providing reassurance to farming communities.

The pictures are of three similar items stolen from the Giantswood Lane area between 9th April and 17th April.

A 25ft bail trailer, an Amazone Pro field fertilizer spreader and a flail topper were taken from a farm.

PC Shields said: "Unfortunately whilst the majority of us are making sure we #stayhomesavelives - others are taking advantage of the situation and are committing crime.

"The loss of farming machinery has a massive impact on farmers livelihoods but also affects their ability to produce the nation's food.

"If you have any information that can help us, and this farmer recover the items and help this key worker with his important role in producing the food we eat - call 101 and quote IML684621."

Yesterday (30th April), PC Shields was out engaging with the local rural and farming communities, providing reassurance and crime prevention advice following the recent incident.
