Congleton's Park Lane care home won an award for being among the top 20 care homes in the North West with an impressive rating of 9.9.

The awards are determined by ratings given by care home residents, families and professional visitors on carehome.co.uk's review site.

Jayne O'Sullivan, Park Lane Care Home Manager told Nub News: "We are all so proud to work here and it's all down to the great staff, residents and relatives we have at this home.

"We also have a great relationship with the community, and it shows what a great team we have when we receive a rating like this."

Park Lane forms part of the Kingsley Care Homes group.

Kingsley Care Homes, the Suffolk-based national care provider retained its Top 20 Large Care Home Group status for a fourth year with a 9.4 out of 10 average rating for its homes, rising from 9.3 last year.

Kingsley CEO Daya Thayan said: "We are so proud to have achieved top 20 large group status for a fourth year running.

"It's a great credit to the passion and commitment of staff in all our homes and shows how far Kingsley has come in two decades.

"Achieving a rating of 9.9 is a fantastic achievement by the team at Park Lane."
