A Robinsons pub in Congleton wants to attract more customers with an advertising board.

The Eaton Manchester Road watering hole wants to install the new signage next to their carpark.

The vertical advertising board will not impact the number of parking spaces, and aims to have the pubs name along with a seasonal offer below the pubs logo.

The signate will be 4.12 metres high, should it be approved. That equates to 13.51 feet.

Oak timber will be used in the project.

No residents responses have been reported as of yet, but Eaton Parish Council "have inspected the details of this application and have no objection to approval of this."

The fate of the new sign will be confirmed in mid-February.
