Four people in Congleton have got their weekend off to a winning start after waking up to a golden envelope and the news they have scooped £1,000 each all thanks to their postcode.

The neighbours who live on Balmoral Gardens, Congleton, netted the windfall when CW12 2GG was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People's Postcode Lottery on Friday 26th March 2021.

People's Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners.

She said: "A massive congratulations to everyone in Congleton who has had a golden envelope delivered to them - what better way to start the day than finding out you've won the lottery! I hope they can treat themselves to something special with the cash."

This is the second time in the last two weeks that Congleton residents have celebrated scooping £1,000 each thanks to their postcode.

Six people who live on Howey Lane netted the windfall when CW12 4AE was announced as a Daily Prize winner with People's Postcode Lottery on Sunday 14th March.

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People's Postcode Lottery have raised over £700 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.

Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players' support, and local organisations can find out details of applying for support here.
