A Congleton dad's new business is celebrating their first three months of business.

The Lovely Pizza Company is a Lower Heath mobile pizza van, situated in the car park of the Huub Building on Manchester Road.

It is open four days a week, and off seven freshly-made pizzas from £8-£10 (prices vary at the time of purchase).

"This is something I've wanted to do since 2013", said Dom.

"I bought the oven in 2016. I then bought the trailer, panels and the window. But never got round to it, then COVID of course happened and with the lockdown I had time to build it altogether.

"I think we're starting to see lots of mobile pizzas vans like mine across the UK as most people like pizza, but people are starting to get a little more picky now, American pizza chains aren't good enough for a lot of people any more.

"They want quality, as a nation I feel we're getting a bit better with our eating."

Friday nights are the busiest night for The Lovely Pizza Company, with many families finishing a dog walk or starting an evening out with one of Dom's Pizzas.

Being situated opposite a convenience store, it is appropriate that Dom's service is equally as efficient. The pizzas take just 90 seconds in the oven to be ready.

Many of his pizzas are presented with fresh herbs, with the option to be finished with salt and pepper. The pepperoni pizza is his best-seller, but all do well.

Despite only being in the 12th week, Dom's new venture already has about 800 likes on Facebook.

"I like that Congleton is big enough to have enough going for it, but not massive", he added.

"It is a nice little town with a great feel about it.

"I like my plot where I am as well. It is a great spot because it has very good parking, and has all the new near houses close by.

"There is also only the chip shop and the Indian restaurant at this side of town. And a lot of cars go by.

"I love chatting with people and having a little bit of banter, hearing their stories.

"I'm not from here originally, so it is a good way for me to get to know the locals.

"Thank you to the people of Congleton for your support."
