Congleton: Man arrested for drug offences near church

A man has been arrested in Congleton on suspicion of drug offences after being spotted near a church.

Police came across the man near St Peter's Church, Congleton, last night (Saturday).

Residents who have seen anything suspicious within the vicinity are being asked to get in touch.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Well done to the officer who came across this and dealt with challenging circumstances.

"If you see anything suspicious at this location please call the information in on 101."
