The operator of Congleton Leisure Centre has recently received a 4.8 out of 5 star rating for cleanliness and hygiene in their gyms and group fitness classes since reopening 11 of their Leisure Centres in Cheshire East this summer.

The customer survey released in August had over 1150 respondents providing feedback on cleanliness and hygiene whilst also commenting on how safe they felt visiting an Everybody leisure centre and how the charity was remaining Covid-secure.

• Customers stated they had found the gym facilities clean and following Covid-secure hygiene standards rating the facility 4.8 out of 5

• Customers stated they found the group fitness classes clean and hygienic and following Covid-secure guidelines rating the class experience 4.8 out of 5

• Customers stated they felt safe whilst working out and keeping active in an Everybody Leisure Centre rating the overall facility experience 4.0 out of 5

The Congleton Leisure Centre is set to reopen on 1 September as part of a phased approach across the summer.

Thomas Barton, executive director at Everybody said: "We have worked tirelessly over the last 6 months to make sure our leisure centres are following government and governing bodies guidelines to remain Covid 19-Secure so we could open safely.

"It is great to hear from our customers that their overall experience has been positive and they are confident in returning to our leisure centres for exercise."

He added: "It is really important now more than ever that we lead active and healthy lifestyles and our customers in Cheshire East are enjoying working out in our gyms and classes. We look forward to welcoming more customers back in September, in particular, swimmers to our indoor pools."

This feedback has contributed to the decision to increase gym sessions from 45 minutes to 90 minutes from 1 September, as well as increasing the amount of group fitness classes on the timetable for across all centres.

More information on how Everybody is remaining Covid-Secure and facilities currently open and available to book can be found on the Everybody website.
