Congleton Lawn Tennis Club: 2020 Club Singles Ladder competition open for business

19th May 2020 | Local News
In line with government regulations and LTA guidance Congleton Lawn Tennis Club has reopened in a limited way.
The committee have opened the courts for use by paid up members for singles or doubles from the same household or singles with one other person outside their household.
Social distancing guidelines must be followed at all times. We have taken the nets off courts 2 and 8, the middle courts in the blocks of three courts, to help with this.
The clubhouse will remain closed. That means there will be no access to toilets and plasters and bandages, so please take this into account when visiting the club.
To avoid too many people at the club at any one time, courts must be booked in advance. You must be a paid-up member to book a court, but the committee has reduced membership this year to only £50.00, so why not use this opportunity to try out the sport or return to it after a break.
As singles is allowed the 2020 CLUB SINGLES LADDER is therefore open for business - and caters for players off all standards.
Anyone wishing to take part should contact Nick Wilkins.
Remember from the start of 2020 anyone can challenge anyone all year round, but if the challenger is more than four places above or below the person being challenged then the person challenged can refuse.
The club has prize sponsorship for the ladder for 2020. Radchesters Garden Ornaments have kindly donated two £20 gift vouchers.
These will be awarded to the person who has played the most matches and the person who has won the most matches between by August 31st, 2020.
Individual coaching is also available if anyone of the following apply - Feeling rusty? Want to get your game back up to speed? Singles feeling alien?
Then why not use this time to book an individual lesson with Craig Leese on 07795144154 or Istvan Kaplan on 07939331000.
