Congleton Information Centre will not reopen until Wednesday due to a "number" of staff needing to self-isolate.

After closing at 3pm today (Friday, 6th August), the centre will reopen on Wednesday at 10am.

A Congleton Town Council spokesperson said: "Sorry for any inconvenience caused. We very much look forward to returning to normal service as soon as possible."

This comes after yesterday's Congleton Town Council meeting (5th August) was cancelled after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.

The meeting was due to start at 7pm in the town hall, but it has been put back by two weeks (19th August).

The town hall was closed for a deep clean following the positive Covid-19 case.
