Congleton in Bloom is excited to announce a Town Tidy Day on Saturday 6 July, taking place at the Community Garden on Lawton Street.

Running from 10am to 12pm, residents of all ages are invited to join in and spend an hour or two helping to spruce up the town centre's beloved Community Garden.

The activities for the morning will include weeding, litter picking, and general tidying.

No experience is necessary to participate; volunteers simply need to turn up and join in the fun.

All equipment will be provided. It is advised to wear sensible clothing and footwear.

Chair of Congleton in Bloom, Cllr David Brown, told Nub News: "Our community clean-up events are a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together and make a tangible difference in our town.

"It is a great way to meet new people, get some fresh air, and contribute to keeping Congleton beautiful.

"Whether you can spare two hours or just 20 minutes all helping hands will be much appreciated ahead of the RHS in Bloom judges' inspection on 14 August.

"Congleton has been selected to represent the North West region in the North West in Bloom Finals in the Large Town category, Large Park Category and the 14 In Your Neighbourhoods.

"So, we are trying to get as many volunteers to join in the Town Tidy events throughout the year."
