Community groups and organisations in Congleton are being invited to apply for financial support.
Applications are now open for the Margaret Williamson Memorial Fund 2026.
Established in memory of 'Congleton's First Lady', the fund continues Margaret's legacy of championing the town's cultural life, environmental improvement and educational opportunity.
A passionate advocate for the town, Margaret played a key role in shaping initiatives that strengthened both its community spirit and natural surroundings.
This year the fund will support around £2,000 worth of projects and applications based in the CW12 postcode or 1260 dialling code area.
"The trustees are particularly keen to hear from projects with a cultural, environmental or educational focus," said a spokesperson for Congleton Town Council.
"This includes initiatives that encourage participation in the arts, promote understanding and enjoyment of the natural environment, or help conserve and enhance local green spaces.
" Projects that inspire young people and foster community involvement are especially welcomed."
The deadline to apply is Monday, March 9, and application forms can be downloaded here or found in paper form at Congleton Information Centre at the Town Hall.
The trustees will review applications in the spring, with successful projects receiving support shortly afterwards.
