With being in lockdown the chance for communities to show their gratitude for Remembrance Sunday has been significantly reduced.

Cllr Ashley Farrall, Cheshire East Council's Armed Forces Champion, suggested the council should mark streets across the borough with poppies.

Cheshire East Highways took on board Cllr Farrall's suggestion and have painted poppies on numerous roads including Congleton.

Congleton's emblem can be found opposite the Treo Memorial Statue near to the entrance of the Community Garden in Lawton Street.
