Car 'deliberately' set on fire in the early hours of this morning near Marton

Firefighters were called to put out a car fire on Cocksmoss Lane, near Marton, in the early hours of this morning (12 June), which they believe had been started deliberately.

One fire engine from Congleton attended the scene at 3:36am, where the crew find the care to be "well alight".

One of the firefighters in breathing apparatus put the fire out using a hose reel jet.

Anyone with information on this incident has been urged to contact the police on 101 and quote the incident number IML 727846.
