Calling Congleton Centurions: 'Rome' around Congleton Museum this half term

This half term, Congleton Museum is transporting kids - big and small - back to Ancient Rome.
The team shared: "Calling all Centurions! Transport yourself back to Ancient Rome during February half-term at Congleton Museum.
"You can expect arts and crafts, REAL Roman soldiers, explore what life was like in Roman Cheshire 2,000 years ago and so much more! There will be lots of interactive activities to take part in."
With a different activity on each day from Tuesday 20 to Sunday 25 February, there will be fun Roman themed activities available for the entire family.
On the schedule is:
Tuesday 20 February: Roman archaeology handling session
Wednesday 21 February: Paint your own wooden sword or shield - a charge of £3 applies to cover the cost of materials for this workshop. All others are free.
Thursday 22 February: Centurions ROME'in around the museum, meet real Roman soldiers
Friday 23 February: Write your name in Roman numerals and dress-up activities
Saturday 24 February: All Roads Lead to Rome, interactive session about Roman life with object handling
Sunday 25 February at 2pm: Hidden Treasure, a talk on the Roman Hoards in Congleton Museum
All activities will take place upstairs in the museum and are on all day, last admission is 3.45pm. On Thursday 22 February, the Romans will ROME around the museum all day.

The museum is open from 10:30am until 4:15pm Monday to Saturday, and from 12pm to 4:15pm on Sundays.
