Deputy headteacher, Richard Jervis said: "They are both deserving candidates who have been role models demonstrating the school's Bees to Success."

Deputy head boy was presented to Aidan Kellenberger, and Deputy head girl was awarded to Chloe Martin.

Other roles awarded to year six pupils included school councillors, eco councillors, anti- bullying ambassadors and hive captains.

Mr Jervis added: "We were delighted with the number of pupils putting themselves forward for these roles as well as the quality of the speeches that pupils wrote that were broadcast to the whole school to watch before voting.

"We are sure that these pupils will be the best they can as role models and representatives of our school."
