Officers have spoken to a beekeeper from the Swettenham area who has had his beehives stolen.

The Cheshire Police Rural Crime Team spoke to the owner yesterday evening (Tuesday).

PCSO Graham of the rural crime team, said: "As you are probably aware beekeeping is a skilled pastime/profession and colonies are not only important but are cared for intensely, so there will not only be a financial loss, but it will also be time consuming as he now needs to rebuild these colonies.

"Please be vigilant and let us know if you see any suspicious activity via 101 or 999 if a crime is in progress."
