Beauty Salons can finally reopen in Congleton from tomorrow (Saturday).

Initially these salons were meant to be reopening on August 1st however these measures were pushed back for two weeks due to a slight rise in cases.

It has been a tough time for the beauty industry as they are one of the last industries to fully reopen with shops, hospitality and other services all now back in action.

Beauty Innovation, a nail, beauty and skincare salon located on Park Street, shared their delight at the news on Facebook.

They said: "The news we have all been waiting for!! Today we will be in touch with everyone on our list who have had their appointments cancelled over the past few weeks and will finally get you all re booked in.

"Look forward to seeing you all and performing all those face and lash treatments after five months!!!"

Theatres and music venues can also now technically reopen but with social distancing still in place it seems unclear as to how they will be able to reopen profitably.

Trial events for fans in sports stadiums and arenas can now also resume.

This will start with the World Snooker Championship final taking place in Sheffield at the weekend.
