Concert pianist Margaret Fingerhut will be giving a recital of piano music from Ukraine on Sunday October 20th at 2. 30 pm in St. Peter's Church Congleton . Tickets from the Town Hall Information Centre or on the door. Adults £10, under 16s free accompanied by an adult. Proceeds will go towards emergency vehicles for Ukraine and English Lessons for the Ukrainian Community in Congleton .

Born in London of Ukrainian and Polish heritage Margaret has had a distinguished career and she is particularly known for her innovative recital programmes. Margaret will also perform music for this recital at the Wigmore Hall in London . She has become increasingly involved in using the power of music to raise money for charitable causes and was awarded the MBE in the New Years Honours List 2024.

She has a visiting post at the Birmingham Conservatoire and was awarded an honorary fellowship in 2015
