Congleton Rugby Club has over the years been made up of families, whether it's brothers, cousins, fathers and sons and not forgetting daughters too the club is and remains a family.

Congleton went into effective lockdown last night following Prime Minister Boris Johnson's nationwide TV broadcast in which he laid down stringent new rules in a bid to battle coronavirus.

The lockdown was announced on the day the number of confirmed cases in the UK rose to more than 6,650, and the number of deaths reached 335, according to the latest figures available.

Shaun Radcliffe, who has been delivering essential items to those self-isolating or vulnerable throughout Congleton had a meeting with Congleton Town Council today to confirm plans that they will be working together to help the community.
