Seventy-one vehicles caught speeding in Congleton in 95 minutes

Seventy-one vehicles were caught speeding on a road in Congleton earlier today (Thursday).

Congleton West Police officers, armed with a hand-held speed gun, were on Manchester Road (30 mph speed limit) monitoring traffic after concerns from residents.

Items including attractive markers were created in the studio at Beech House by people benefiting from Adullam's services. They were guided by an activities co-ordinator.

This Congleton pub is finally ready to reopen!

Fans of the Beartown Tap can finally enjoy a return to the pub this weekend, after the popular watering hole announced its reopening.

The pub will be welcoming patrons back through its doors from 6pm on Friday. The Tap will only be open Friday and Saturday this weekend and will be taking bookings for two time slots.

Georgia Ogden's best friends would be left "speechless" if they were able to raise £5,000 for a charity that has supported them throughout their heart-breaking loss.

Georgia sadly passed away after the car she was travelling in crashed into an HGV on the A34 in Astbury in the early hours of 25th June.

Concerns calf was killed under bridge in Congleton after pelt is found in bag

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a calf pelt in a pool of blood was found on a canal towpath.

The animal charity was contacted after the horrifying discovery on a towpath next to New Road in Congleton, on Thursday 9 July.
