Congleton Tennis players may currently be off court but the club has just announced the winners of its 2019-2020 Winter Doubles Competition.

The event came to a slightly premature end due to the lockdown towards the end of March 2020, but the winners of the different categories were:

The best ladies pair were Jill Bell and Lynn Boyes, Jill and Lynn will each receive a voucher for two for a wine tasting evening courtesy of sponsors Laithwaites Wine of Alderley Edge.

The best men's pair were Istvan Kaplan and Ian Walker, Istvan and Ian will each receive prizes courtesy of sponsors 4FITT of Newcastle Under Lyme.

The best mixed pair and overall winners were Beth Hitchen and Mike Massey, Beth and Mike will each receive vouchers courtesy of sponsors Kans Oriental Restaurant of Sandbach.

They will also receive the overall winners shield - The Potteries Auctions Trophy.
