With the latest lockdown, many retailers in Congleton town centre have been forced to close.
Sales of stars to surround the town's Tree of Light have therefore been restricted.
A short service with the Royal British Legion, veterans and wreath layers was held at the Congleton cenotaph to commemorate Remembrance Sunday.
Congleton remembered safely in a small service led by Rev Ian Enticott and wreath laying by the local organisations, including Town Mayor Sally Ann-Holland.

The winners of this year's Guy Fawkes competitions have been announced.
Eadie-May and Hugo Condliffe won the £50 first prize in the Rotary-Congleton Guy Fawkes competition, with their "splendid" Guy, who was sitting on top of his bonfire, surrounded by rockets and ready to go up in flames.

A Congleton holiday business has been given a £1,000 fine for breaching coronavirus rules.
Macclesfield Police announced the business had received the fine on social media.

Congleton's recycling centre could be under threat as the council looks to make savings ahead of the contract's renewal.
Cheshire East Council Cabinet members voted to launch a consultation on plans to close some of the borough's eight recycling centres this afternoon (Tuesday November 10).

A petition which has been lodged against plans for a Congleton nursing home to significantly extend its building has nearly 800 signatures.
Applicant Mr Patel has submitted a planning application to Cheshire East Council for a ground floor extension, which will form 11 extra bedrooms, a laundry and lounge at Heliosa Nursing Home, on Boundary Lane, Congleton.

A water company has revealed that a sewer in Congleton town centre overflowed due to a build-up of toilet paper and sanitary items.
Human excrement was seen flowing out of the drains outside Wetherspoons and causing quite a smell around the town centre on Tuesday evening.

With being in lockdown the chance for communities to show their gratitude for Remembrance Sunday has been significantly reduced.
Cllr Ashley Farrall, Cheshire East Council's Armed Forces Champion, suggested the council should mark streets across the borough with poppies.
