A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after a crash.

Cheshire Police have confirmed that a woman in her 60s has been taken to hospital.

It follows a crash involving a pedestrian and a HGV on Biddulph Road in Congleton.

Officers were called to the scene at 1.42pm on Tuesday (December 17).

The pedestrian, a woman in her 60s, was taken to hospital to be assessed for injuries.

Police say her injuries are 'thought to be minor'.
