Looking for things to do in Congleton? Then look no further...

Here are some brilliant Beartown events happening this Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Congleton.

A good chunk of these events were nubbed to our What's On section, where you can promote your event for FREE on our website.

  1. Wacky Halloween Party

A family-friendly Halloween Party will be held at the Heath Farm - Pub & Carvery on Padgbury Lane in Congleton.

Both adults and children are welcome to bring costumes, and there will be prizes.

The entertainment will last for two hours, and will be a great trial for the kids' trick-or-treat costume!

The party is from 5pm to 7pm, but you are welcome to stay at the pub in costume after.

  1. Our Ladies at Daneside

The Daneside Theatre in Congleton will host a 2019 coming-of-age film set in 1990s Catholic Scotland.

The Park Road venue will screen Our Ladies at 7pm on Sunday.

Our Ladies follows a group of Scottish schoolgirls on a day trip to Edinburgh to perform in a choir competition. For these teens from a small town in the Scottish Highlands, it becomes a chance to escape their daily lives and run riot in the big city.

The film was set to have a full theatre roll out in 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It has just come to most cinemas this year.

Tickets: are £5 available from Congleton Information Centre at Congleton Town Hall on High Street or on 01260 270350 (option 1).

  1. Bluegrass Festival

Glebe Farm, near Congleton, (CW12 4RQ) has been supporting Bluegrass Music since 2016.

For five years, they've hosted quality musicians in multi-day events, and this weekend is no different.

For £10 per person per night, with access to the nearby pub and farmshop, get your washboards and the nearest string instrument you can find for this one-of-a-kind Congleton music festival.

  1. Family Jiu-jitsu

Family martial arts events are hard to come by. So we are very lucky to have one in Congleton.

Whether you are beginner, intermediate, or mixed skill, this class should keep you fit and also up to speed with the Japanese art.

It will happen on Saturday October 16th - 10:45 am to 12:00 pm at Century Mill.

The Worrall Street meet-up is a recurring event.

You can phone 07716755777 for more details.
