The success of a 'Take That' tribute concert is set to lead to more big musical nights at Congleton Town Hall.

The venue was bouncing as 'Rule the World' played to a sold out audience.

Rachel McCarthy, Congleton Town Council's Town Centre and Events Officer, said: "Building on the success of our first tribute event we have plans to bring more party nights to Congleton. #

"The evening was a sell-out and we've received amazing feedback and requests for more acts to perform in the Town Hall.

"The Grand Hall is the ideal venue for large concerts and it looked amazing on the night setting the atmosphere with the feature lighting. 'Rule the World' were the perfect band to launch our tribute series, they raised the roof. Congleton certainly knows how to party!

"The audience erupted singing along to all their favourite songs. The encore 'Never Forget' was met with applause and everybody up on their feet dancing. Thank you to everyone who came and bought a ticket, you were a fantastic audience."

Next on the bill at the Town Hall is a night of 80s music on Friday, 1 December.

Presented by Congleton Town Council, tickets are on sale for Electromantics' the UK's Premier 1980s Electronica / New Wave tribute band with Robotic Dancer – Manochrome. Expect covers by Depeche Mode, Soft Cell, The Human League, Duran Duran, Erasure and much more turbo-charged for a new experience.

Doors open at 6.30pm, tickets cost £18 each available from the Information Centre or online: www.ticketsource.co.uk/congleton-town-council.

The town council will use all profits made from further tribute events to fund other free community events in Congleton such as Easter Treats, Christmas Lights Switch-On and Summer Play Days.

For further information on What's-On at the town hall visit the town council's website: www.congleton-tc.gov.uk and look out for updates on the council's social media channels.
