An exciting new chapter is about to begin in the life of the market in Congleton.

The town is getting a touch of an artisan feel with the launch of the Congleton Market Quarter (CMQ) and a pre-launch party is taking place next Friday (September 29th).

A major project has been undertaken to reshape the town's landscape and rekindle its spirit in the market making it the beating heart of the town.

And on Friday, September 29th residents will be able to catch a glimpse of the future at a sneak peek event giving the community the chance to see the work in progress before an official launch later in the year.

The fun-filled pre-launch event from 5pm until 10pm next Friday will feature a host of stands and vendors, community street art, live music, music, face painting and much more. Congleton Market Quarter has a Facebook page here .

Situated between Princess Street and Mill Street, Congleton Market Quarter, which has a website here will host a collection of bars, eateries, workspaces, artisan markets and outdoor spaces.

A spokesperson said: "It's a chance to immerse yourself in the CMQ's atmosphere and secure subscriber-exclusive launch week offers.

"The aspiration is clear - to transform the CMQ into the thriving hub of Congleton. The aim is to rekindle the town's vibrancy and make it the heart of the community once again.

"It's about giving residents and visitors a compelling reason to rediscover and celebrate the heart of the town.

"Clearing the old, derelict buildings was a significant challenge, but one that was undertaken with determination. The on-site team have worked hard to keep and restore historic features that hold part of Congleton's past.

"These buildings, now restored with a touch of character, will house the heart of the CMQ development adjacent to the existing outdoor and indoor markets."

Nick Hynes, the founder, said: "We're offering a glimpse for the first time on September 29th to give people a flavour of what the CMQ has to offer.

"Those attending next Friday's pre-launch can meander through a craft night market hosting over 40 vendors, get captivated by community street art, sway to live music and enjoy a DJ's beats.

"Beyond entertainment, this event is also about community and connection. Partnerships with initiatives like Totally Locally Congleton underscore the CMQ's dedication to uplifting local businesses."

"Don't miss this great chance to see the Congleton Market Quarter. We look forward to seeing you there."
