Residents can learn how to defend themselves from attacks.

Cheshire Police have teamed up with Motherwell and My CWA to put on a series of free self-defence classes.

The one-hour sessions are aimed at improving the confidence and awareness of residents across Cheshire East.

Open to those aged 16 and above, the sessions will cover holds and grabs, effective strikes, knife defence and pins to the floor.

They will take place throughout March, April and May in Macclesfield, Congleton and Crewe.
