Police investigating hit-and-run incident in Buglawton that resulted in 16-year-old girl sustaining minor injuries

Police are investigating after a teenager girl was injured after being hit by a car which fled the scene in Buglawton.

Officers were called to Havnannah Street, Buglawton, at around 7:20pm on Sunday following reports a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a white car.

The 16-year-old girl. suffered minor injuries in the incident, but the driver, failed to stop at the scene.

Cheshire Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called at around 7:20pm on Sunday, November 15, following reports of a collision involving a white car and a pedestrian on Havannah Street, Congleton.

"The pedestrian, a 16-year-old girl, sustained minor injuries. The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene.

"Inquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing."
