A 65-year-old man was taken to hospital earlier this month after an assault from two unknown men.

The incident took place on Sunday 2 June, near Mill Lane / Swan Bank.

The man was driving when the two men approached and kicked the vehicle. The 65-year-old got out to check damage, when the two suspects assaulted his face and body.

The man was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police investigations have been ongoing since the incident, and officers are appealing for further information.

PC Jardine of Cheshire Constabulary said: "We would urge anyone who has any information which could aid our investigation to get in touch with us. The same goes for anyone who witnessed what happened or may have any footage.

"We are also asking anyone who recognises the two men who are pictured in the CCTV images to contact us, as we believe they may hold vital information.

"You can report information to Cheshire Police via cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, or via 101, quoting 24000492447."
