Plans remain in the pipeline for a defibrillator to be installed at Bromley Farm

By Tom Avery 6th Aug 2020

A Congleton ward councillor is exploring further locations which could provide a life-saving defibrillator at Bromley Farm.

Speaking at last Thursday's virtual Congleton Town Council meeting of the community and environment committee, Cllr Rob Moreton told councillors that the phone box on Edinburgh Road was not the right location to house the equipment.

However, the ward councillor stated that he still had a "strong desire" to get a defibrillator on Bromley Farm and he was working alongside Jackie MacArthur, town marketing and events manager and deputy chief officer to achieve that.

Cllr Moreton said: "I do have a couple of other locations which I'm exploring and I'm very confident we will be able to proceed with this at the next meeting."

The meeting was told that there isn't a defibrillator located at Bromley Farm.

Congleton Town Council is committed to ensuring all areas of the town have 'easy access' to a defibrillator.
