Six fire engines are in attendance, two from Congleton, one from Alsager, one from Crewe, one from Lymm, one from Holmes Chapel and an aerial appliance.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "The crews have now gained access to the roof."
