Motorcyclist taken to hospital with serious injuries after Congleton crash

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision in Eaton near Congleton.

At 1pm today (Sunday, 23rd May), police were called to reports of a collision on Macclesfield Road, Eaton, near to the junction of Bank Lane.

Officers attended and found there had been a collision between a black Infiniti car and a blue and white BMW motorbike.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "The rider of the bike is believed to have sustained serious injuries and has been taken to hospital."

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, but the closure was lifted at 1.45pm.
