Man arrested after assaulting four people at Congleton property including police officer and paramedic

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man and woman as well as a police officer and paramedic at a Congleton property.

At 12.40pm yesterday (Sunday, 28th March), police officers were called to reports of a man assaulting another man and woman at an address on Woolston Avenue, Congleton.

After attending the scene, a police officer and a paramedic were also assaulted by the 27-year-old.

The 27-year-old man who was arrested at the scene remains in custody for questioning.
