Job of the Week: Payroll Account Manager in Congleton

And you will be rewarded with figures of your own, £19,000 - £22,000 per annum, to be precise.

She said: "My client has been established since 1998 and are an extremely well known and well reputable firm who's Head Office is set in the heart of Congleton.

"The business has grown from strength to strength and now employ over 35 people in their Head Office in Congleton.

"As a team they have built long-term relationships with their clients, who trust them completely to take care of their administrative, financial and legal responsibilities.

"They are fanatical about providing a level of customer service that keeps their partners and clients happy.

"A new role has arisen based on consistent growth and success, and the Financial function requires a Payroll Account Manager to be responsible for looking after all aspects of weekly payroll processes from beginning to end for a dedicated portfolio of clients.

"You will ensure payrolls are completed accurately and in line with client agreements, be expected to be a payroll expert and be able to help and advise on all payroll related matters with minimum supervision."

The day-to-day duties include; manage own workload to ensure accurate payroll data entry, as well as ensuring contractors, temporary and permanent staff are paid on time and receive the correct payments.

The successful candidate will ensure payroll information received from clients adheres to deadlines for payroll and invoicing purposes.

They will also handle new starters and leavers as well as pension contributions.

They'll process statutory payments including National Minimum Wage, Parental payments and holidays in line with current legislation.

The Congleton Payroll Account Manager will also check accuracy of payroll data entered, and ensure any errors are updated to reduce the chance of errors or re-runs.

Other duties involve investigating and resolving any payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information, including the Exceptions Report. As well as Ensuring all payments match and reconcile all payroll payments to the financial ledger.

The ideal fit would possess strong customer service abilities and understanding of query ownership, management and resolution.

The new hire will ideally have proven payroll experience from start to finish with an IPP qualification (desirable but not essential as training is provided).

Effective communication, computer literacy and accuracy are also desired skills.

Deadline-friendly organisational skills and organisation skills are also required.
