Inspired by the Euros? Why not go to Congleton Town Ladies' training?
After a successful trio of open sessions, the squad of Congleton's new women's football club is starting to take shape.
Congleton Town Ladies FC, who were formed last month, will be hosting their first training session this weekend.
The public are welcome to come and watch - which would make a great way for your child to come and watch some footie - especially if they've been inspired by the Women's European Championships (currently being held in England).
The training session will take place at the Back Lane Playing Fields, Congleton CW12 4PY.
The two-and-a-half session will last from 10.30am to 12pm.
The club said: "As of Wednesday July 13, the three initial open sessions have now finished, but if anyone is interested in coming to a training session, they are more than welcome.
"It is great to see so much talent and so many enthuastiasic ladies within the local area.
"If anyone is still interested in coming to a training session, please get in touch via our social media channels."
The club, which is officially affiliated with the men's side, can be contacted on Facebook here.
It is the first time Congleton Town has had a women's side, who will compete in a currently unspecified league for 2022-23.
It is hoped the training sessions will become a weekly affair.
