Congleton's Christmas lights switch-on is set to take place on Friday 29 November 2024.

The cherished annual event draws thousands of residents and visitors, making it the town's largest festive gathering.

A number of roads will be closed between 12pm and 9pm:

  • High Street
  • Market Street (from junction of High Street to junction of Stonehouse Green)
  • Moody Street
  • Market Square
  • Bridge Street
  • Duke Street
  • Little Street
  • Mill Street
  • Swan Bank
  • Cross Street

Rachel McCarthy, Town Centre and Events Officer for Congleton Town Council said: "This event is a highlight of the Congleton calendar, and we are incredibly excited for what's shaping up to be the biggest and best year yet. 

"The popular celebration is an integral part of Congleton's Christmas, bringing together families, friends, and businesses to mark the start of the festive season."
