Firefighters attend industrial building fire in Congleton

Firefighters are currently ventilating an industrial building in Congleton and a fire investigator is in attendance to determine the cause of the fire.

Shortly before 6am this morning, firefighters were called to reports of a fire on 2nd Avenue, Congleton, and on arrival they found a fire in an industrial unit.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Four fire engines attended the scene, one from Congleton, two from Macclesfield and one from Sandbach.
