Cheshire East Council has launched a click and collect service at its rapid Covid-19 testing site in Congleton to coincide with this week's lockdown easing.

Residents will now be able to visit the local testing site at New Life Church, on West Road, to collect pre-booked lateral flow tests (LFT) to undertake at home.

Dr Matt Tyrer, Cheshire East Council's director of public health, said: "Offering a click and collect service at our testing centres is another part of our collective effort to reduce the amount of people unknowingly spreading the virus.

"As government restrictions ease, the council is continuing to focus on offering more ways for Cheshire East council residents to access free and regular rapid lateral flow testing at locations throughout the borough."
