Fancy a go at local panto... oh yes you do!

Congleton Pantomime will returning to the Daneside Theatre in 2023... and the preparation starts now.

To get ready for the perfect post-COVID return of a Congleton tradition, auditions are about to be held next month.

Michelle Astbury of Congleton Pantomime is elated for the return, and revealed all the big details for children hoping to audition.

"Congleton Pantomime will rise from the ashes of the Covid Pandemic with our next production Sleeping Beauty," she said.

"It will take place at the Daneside Theatre Congleton from January 14 to 21 next year.

"Auditions will be held at Daneside Theatre on Sunday April 3 2022 at 12.30 pm.

"Our Pantomime Society is looking for members of varying ages both younger and more mature for principal parts, ensemble, (chorus) singers, dancers and those who would like to help off stage as a show could not go on without the support of all those in the background – Front of House, First Aiders, Stewards and more.

"Those interested in joining us must be in Year 9 or above (if at school), as of September 2022 when rehearsals start.

"They must also be fully vaccinated from COVID-19 or hold an exemption certificate.

"Rehearsals will be on Monday and Wednesday evenings and you must be available for all ten shows in January 2023.

"For more information including a cast list, audition pieces/songs, please email [email protected]."

Tickets for Sleeping Beauty will go on sale via Ticketsource in September 2022.
